We are currently seeking a Sr Financial Analyst to join our finance team based in our New York, New York headquarters.

JOB SUMMARY 

As a Senior Financial Analyst of Programming, this position is responsible for the financial support of content costs for AMC Linear Networks (AMC, Sundance, IFC, WE, and BBCA) and AMC+ streaming service, and will be a key business partner and stakeholder in those areas. This role will help lead the financial planning, including budgeting, forecasting, and assist in the content investment strategyThis position will require close collaboration with the general managers and members of the broader Finance team to support the financial operations of the overall business, with a focus on content investment optimization and standardized reporting, while ensuring accuracy and quality throughout the processThis role provides an opportunity to obtain an in-depth view of the Programming ecosystem and an opportunity to partner with the creative and acquisitions teams to help shape our programming strategyThe role is in a fast-paced environment and offers ample room for growthThe ideal candidate will have strong analytical and communication skills, be a team player and able to juggle multiple tasks. 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Budget and forecasting management of original and acquired programming investments  
  • Identify risks and opportunities to financial plan and communicate performance in presentations to senior management 
  • Own the development budget for AMC Studios by partnering closely with the content leads and business affairs  
  • Data analysis and data quality management 
  • Continually review finance processes and reporting to improve overall efficiency and accuracy of the finance function 
  • Participate in ad hoc projects and financial analysis as needed 

QUALIFICATIONS (Required & Preferred)

  • Bachelor's degree 
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience 
  • Experience in working in the media and entertainment industry is preferred 
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, with emphasis on Excel 
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail 
  • Ability to multitask, problem solve and effectively prioritize one's workload 

The base compensation range for this position is $70,000 to $85,000 commensurate with experience.
