Are you ready to take on the challenge as our new Business Consultant in Procurement Excellence & Transformation, working with strategy development, transformation and digitalization?
In Global Procurement, we have recently introduced an ambitious transformation roadmap for the coming years. This strategy emphasizes enhancing global category management, mitigating supply chain risks, fostering a sustainable supply chain, and digitizing our ways of working. Additionally to this, we are committed to achieving high-reaching cost and sustainability targets.
The Procurement Excellence team plays a crucial role in delivering on this transformation and targets. By scoping and driving strategic initiatives, enabling data-driven insights, and developing tools and frameworks, the team is instrumental in creating efficiencies and supporting the broader procurement organization in achieving our objectives.
What can you look forward to in this role
You will be a key driver in our procurement transformation, where you will drive strategic projects, develop our procurement toolbox and support digitalizing the way we work. More specifically, you will:
- Implement strategic projects, including developing high-impact category strategies together with our category managers
- Capture and analyse data to provide comprehensive support, including Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis, and deliver actionable insights to the procurement organization and its stakeholders
- Form decision-making materials to support informed and strategic choices
- Develop and implement best-practice processes, frameworks (e.g. supplier relationship management) and procurement tools
- Find opportunities to improve efficiency through smarter workflows, with a focus on automation and digitalization initiatives
- Train the procurement organizations in new tools, systems and ways of working incl. sharing of best practices.
You will report to the Director of Procurement Excellence & Transformation, and you will work closely with our category management teams for direct and indirect categories, procurement sustainability team and with many other partners across Hempel’s business entities around the globe.
What are we looking for :
We are looking for you, who are a forward-looking talent, has a can-do attitude and challenge status quo. We imagine that you:
- Have a master’s degree in Business, Economics or similar
- Have experience and have demonstrated strong results from a procurement or business development function in a larger global company or from management consulting
- Have a track-record of delivering high impact projects
- Have a proven consulting toolbox and have experience in working with conceptualizing, strategy development, execution and follow up
- Have strong analytical skills and master PowerPoint and Excel at an expert level
- If you have experience with working with digital procurement tools it is an advantage
As a person, you are performance driven and possess a can-do-attitude which enables you to scope and drive activities forward and take the delivery from good to great. You possess great business acumen and understands the importance of impact versus process orientation, with the ability to prioritize to improve value. Further, you have great interpersonal and communication skills enabling you to ensure consensus from peers and you have the ability to influence partners at all levels.
You will work out of our offices in Kgs. Lyngby, Denmark. Some travelling is expected (5-20 days).
