Role Overview:

As a Growth Marketing Director at Yurts, you’ll drive the growth of our federal business by establishing an effective demand gen engine attracting and converting hard to reach federal and fed adjacent audiences. Your role will be essential in expanding our federal footprint, leading initiatives to engage federal agencies, build lasting relationships, and generate qualified leads. We’re looking for a visionary marketing leader with deep expertise in the federal market who is ready to shape impactful strategies and fuel our mission to continue to make Yurts a trusted name in the industry.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demand Generation: Deepen Yurts understanding of a federal customer’s path to conversion and collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Product, and Customer Success to launch multi-channel campaigns to attract and convert federal leads.
  • Sales Enablement: Partner with sales on lifecycle marketing strategies to convert inbounds and retain customers. Align marketing efforts with sales goals and provide them with the necessary tools and resources.
  • Brand Building: Strengthening our brand within the federal market through strategic branding initiatives.
  • Customer Acquisition: Implementing strategies to acquire new federal customers and expand existing relationships.
  • Performance Measurement: Use data-driven insights to optimize campaigns and improve ROI, and manage marketing budgets.
  • Team Leadership: Managing and mentoring a team of marketing professionals.
  • Ensure Compliance: Adhere to federal regulations and industry best practices.
  • Build Partnerships: Forge strong relationships with industry partners and government organizations.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; advanced degrees or federal marketing certifications are a plus.
  • 8+ years of experience in B2B growth marketing, with at least 5+ years in the federal government sector.
  • Relationships with key decision makers and influencers in federal agencies, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of federal procurement processes, regulations, compliance requirements, and buyer personas in government agencies.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing high-impact, multi-channel campaigns within complex, compliance-heavy environments.
  • A thorough understanding of what content is needed at each funnel stage in order to drive pipeline, build trusted client relationships and conversions.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in using marketing analytics and CRM tools to optimize strategies (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar).
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration abilities and presentation skills; experience working closely with sales, content, and product teams.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding and interest in generative AI and its applications.
  • Expertise in marketing automation tools.
  • Knowledge of federal government contracting and procurement processes.
  • Experience with security compliance (FISMA, FedRAMP) and ensuring regulatory adherence.
  • Proficiency in account-based marketing (ABM) strategies for federal agencies.
  • Familiarity with federal contracting platforms, industry networks, and professional associations.
