This is a remote role within the US.

We are seeking an accomplished Vice President of Sales & Business Development to drive our strategy and presence in the US market. As a key member of our executive team, you will lead sales growth, cultivate strategic relationships, and expand our footprint across the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), Federal Systems Integrators (FSIs), and other government sectors. This is a rare opportunity to shape our growth, build a high-performing sales team, and influence mission-critical programs in the defense and training sectors.


Key ResponsibilitiesSales Leadership:

  • Recruit, hire, develop, and lead a high-performing US sales team.
  • Establish and maintain a strong sales culture focused on achieving sales goals and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide strategic guidance and coaching to the US sales team to optimize their performance.


Revenue Generation:

  • Develop and implement a robust US sales strategy aligned with the company's overall business objectives.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the US market, including strategic partnerships and alliances.
  • Oversee the entire US sales cycle, from lead generation to closing deals.
  • Analyze US sales performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.


Customer Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key US customers and decision-makers.
  • Understand the specific needs of the US market and provide innovative solutions to address customer challenges.
  • Ensure a seamless customer experience throughout the sales and post-sales process for US clients.


Market Development:

  • Stay informed about US industry trends and competitive landscapes.
  • Identify emerging market opportunities within the US.
  • Develop and execute targeted marketing campaigns to generate leads and increase brand awareness in the US market.


Objectives

Drive Revenue Growth:

  • Achieve and exceed annual revenue and sales targets by expanding the company’s footprint in the U.S. defense market, including partnerships with Federal Systems Integrators (FSIs), prime contractors, and direct government agencies.

Expand Market Presence

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to penetrate key defense programs and initiatives, aligning with U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) priorities such as modernization, simulation training, and mission-critical technology adoption.

Build Strategic Relationships

  • Cultivate high-impact relationships with defense agencies, FSIs, and prime contractors to position the company as a trusted partner for simulation solutions. Strengthen engagement with key stakeholders, including decision-makers within the DoD, military branches, and government procurement teams.

Optimize Sales Team Performance

  • Recruit, lead, and mentor a high-performing sales team. Set clear objectives, provide ongoing training, and implement effective sales processes to maximize productivity and alignment with the company’s growth goals.

Drive Go-to-Market Execution

Collaborate with marketing, product, and engineering teams to execute successful go-to-market strategies. Ensure the sales team is equipped with tools and messaging to articulate the value of the company’s simulation solutions effectively.

Expand Pipeline Opportunities

  • Identify, qualify, and capture high-value opportunities through engagement with government procurement platforms (e.g., SAM.gov, FPDS), competitive contracts (e.g., IDIQs, OTAs), and defense industry events.

Champion Innovation in Sales Strategy

  • Stay ahead of industry trends and competitors by continuously refining sales methodologies and exploring new channels to promote the company’s simulation software in the defense sector.

Education and Experience


  • 10+ years of experience in sales and business development roles, preferably in the technology or simulation industry within the US market.
  • Proven track record in sales leadership roles, ideally in the technology or simulation industry within the US market.
  • Proven ability to lead sales of at least $50 million in solutions or services within the US market.
  • Strong portfolio of contacts in the industry at senior leadership level with systems integrators and government offices
  • Know-how of acquisition strategy and process in the US DoD and Intelligence Agencies 
  • Industry knowledge in synthetic training, mission planning and rehearsal 
  • Deep understanding of the US market dynamics and customer needs.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to motivate and inspire teams.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills.
  • A bachelor's degree is required, and an advanced degree is preferred.

Additional Attributes

  • Regular domestic travel is required
  • Occasional international travel required
