Job Description

We’re recruiting for a Governance Assistantto join us. We’re offering a competitive base salary and good benefits package.

    What you'll be doing:

    • Overseeing the cycle of boards and committees, including managing the governance calendar, meeting invites, and venues
    • Drafting agendas, circulating requests and reminders for papers, and managing the collation and distribution of board papers
    • Drafting reports, taking minutes, maintaining risk registers, and tracking progress against actions
    • Managing the annual review of board effectiveness, advising board members, and devising actions to enhance performance
    • Establishing a CPD programme for board members, arranging individual and collective CPD sessions, and tracking progress
    • Assisting with governance and regulatory projects to improve standards and ensure compliance
    • Providing administrative assistance to the Assurance
    • Developing and maintaining effective electronic filing systems

    Qualifications

    Who we're looking for:

    • Someone with governance administration experience, Company Secretary Assistant or highly motivated PA looking for a change of career
    • Excellent working knowledge of governance
    • Experience in the financial services and/or affordable housing industries is advantageous
    • Proven experience working in a governance or company secretarial team
    • Familiarity with the board and committee yearly cycle, meeting organisation, and minute taking
    • Well-versed in governance and regulatory best practices
    • Strong organisational and communication skills
    • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels
