Position Overview

We are looking for a Python Intern to develop and implement a solution that integrates Manatals API with a Large Language Model (LLM) to automate the evaluation of incoming job applications. The project involves building a system that triggers workflows whenever a new application is received, evaluates the match between the candidates profile and the job requirements, and executes decisions (e.g., scheduling interviews or rejecting candidates) via the Manatal API.

This internship offers hands-on experience with real-world AI and automation challenges and provides the opportunity to leave a tangible impact on the recruitment industry. A certificate of completion will be issued upon successful and exemplary completion of the internship.

What You'll Do
  • Analyze our current manual shortlisting process within Manatal and design an automation workflow.
  • Read and understand the Manatal API documentation. (https://support.manatal.com/docs/manatal-api)
  • Propose a detailed approach and technical stack for implementing the solution, which includes:
    • An explanation of how the LLM will evaluate candidates based on resumes and job descriptions.
    • Steps for integrating the LLM with the Manatal API.
    • How automation workflows will be triggered and executed.
  • Develop and maintain the codebase using GitHub.
  • Create a system where every time a new application is received, the workflow is triggered, evaluates the application against the job criteria using the LLM, and performs actions (e.g., inviting the candidate for an interview or declining the application).
  • Collaborate with the recruitment and technical teams to ensure the solution is accurate, fair, and scalable.
  • Document the process and provide a clear explanation of each development step and decision.
  • Present the proposed approach in an interview, including a short explanation or presentation upfront before development begins.
Who You Are
  • Education: Recent graduate in Computer ScienceData ScienceAI, or a related field.
  • Skills:
    • Proficient in Python, with experience in libraries like NumPyPandasScikit-learn, or TensorFlow.
    • Comfortable working with APIs and integrating third-party services (experience with Manatal API is a bonus).
    • Familiar with GitHub for version control and collaborative development.
  • Passionate about AI, automation, and NLP, with an eagerness to tackle complex business problems.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts clearly.
  • Available for 40 hours per week during the internship.
Bonus Skills (Not Required, but a Plus)
  • Hands-on experience with NLP models (e.g., transformers or other frameworks for text analysis).
  • Familiarity with cloud deployment (e.g., Docker, AWS, Azure).
  • Previous experience in HR tech or recruitment workflows.
