Job description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Backend Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong Java expertise, experience with Spring Boot, REST APIs, and cloud services. If you are passionate about backend development and eager to work in a collaborative and dynamic environment, we encourage you to apply!

This is a remote position open to candidates from any part of LATAM.

Requirements

3+ years of experience in roles as a Backend Developer.
Java expertise (minimum version 8)
Strong experience with Spring Boot (versions 2.5 - 3)
Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.
Experience in building and consuming REST APIs.
Knowledge of cloud services, particularly Azure (App Services, API Management, VMs), or other providers like AWS or Google Cloud.
Proficiency with relational databases, specifically SQL Server or MySQL.
Experience with GitHub for version control.
English proficiency at a conversational level.

Desirable

Experience with Snowflake.
Familiarity with Azure DevOps.

Main Activities:

Develop, test, and maintain backend systems using Java (minimum version 8) and Spring Boot (versions 2.5 - 3).
Design and implement RESTful APIs that connect with various services.
Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
Work with cloud platforms (preferably Azure) to deploy, manage, and monitor applications.
Manage and optimize relational databases, including SQL Server or MySQL.
Utilize version control systems like GitHub for source code management.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices and development standards.
Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems to maintain and improve performance.
Optionally, manage deployment pipelines using Azure DevOps.

Education

Graduate from an accredited software engineering Bootcamp or four-year university, Computer Science/Information Technology Bachelor's Degree.
