The Opportunity

We are looking for someone with strong Excel skills who is passionate about working with data and comfortable talking to external clients, guiding the client through a process of transferring multiple different data sets into a uniform digital database. You will be the link between the client and the internal data experts. You might be someone working in a different sort of role currently, e.g. customer support, but you’ve got a passion for data and know your way around Excel. You’ll get the chance to work with other data tools such as FME, and you’ll be working within an amazing technology company with various routes of learning and development into more technical roles.

The role will involve:

  • Being part of a friendly team who like to support and bounce ideas off each other.
  • Managing multiple processes at once involving large (100k+) data sets.
  • Leading the analysis to ensure the successful Data Transformation and Processing of Local Authorities against required schema and supporting datasets.
  • Guiding Local Authorities through this process, and ensure they complete the relevant tasks to allow the analysis to complete on-time.
  • Writing rules for data transformation.
  • Quality checking data.
  • Creating documentation for tracking of transformation along with the data cleansing that is required in each query.
  • Writing documentation on the transformation rules applied to the dataset for migration.

About You

You’ll have a mixture of data skills (Excel) and customer facing skills which will harness you with the ability to help the end client through the data extraction process.

  • Experience of Microsoft Office especially Excel advanced functions.
  • Experience of handling and managing data and processes.
  • Experience of managing time or tasks for others - project, task or activity management.
  • Experience of SQL Databases or FME is desirable.
  • Experience of working directly with a customer preferable.
  • Feeding into process and tools improvements.
  • Support the team in other areas of the transformation process, on an ad-hoc basis.
