  • Ensuring solutions are scalable, reliable, and effectively integrated into a cloud-based infrastructure.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with forecasting teams to enhance accuracy for energy assets and real-time control methodologies.

  • Translate complex technical requirements into efficient algorithms and deploy them on cloud-based platforms (Google Cloud Platform).

  • Implement real-time control solutions to improve VPP responsiveness.

Your profile

The successful candidate will have:

  • Strong proficiency in Python for algorithm development and data science.

  • Demonstrated experience with optimization modeling frameworks such as Pyomo, AMPL, GAMS, or similar tools.

  • Advanced knowledge in energy markets (day-ahead, intraday, and balancing) and VPP market participation strategies.

  • Background in forecasting models, with a focus on time-series forecasting.

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (preferably Google Cloud Platform) and cloud computing fundamentals

  • A proactive mindset and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-growing company while keeping an eye on both short-term milestones and long-term goals.

  • An agile and product-oriented mindset and you consider yourself a team player

  • Very strong written and spoken English skills, German is a plus

Bonus points for:

  • Exposure to real-time control methodologies.

  • Familiarity with Typescript.

  • Experience with cross-European energy markets, beyond Germany.

  • Proven track record of developing cross-European VPP algorithms and solutions.

We are an ambitious and dynamic company with a talented team. We require our engineers to be imaginative, enthusiastic, and willing to tackle new challenges as we strive to provide everyone with renewable energy technologies.
