Job description

This is a remote position.

Job highlights:

Contract: Independent Contractor

Scope:
  • Manage bookkeeping for a company with multiple service lines, including water damage, fire restoration, reconstruction, and more

  • Handle financial transactions related to insurance claims and payments

  • Assist in financial operations for a business processing high-volume insurance-based transactions

  • Contribute to administrative tasks beyond bookkeeping to support overall business operations

  • Work (40 hours per week) in alignment with the company’s Eastern Time Zone schedule

  • Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM with 1 hour unpaid lunch break

Responsibilities :
  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks using QuickBooks Online

  • Process and follow up on accounts receivable, primarily from insurance companies

  • Reconcile financial statements and maintain accurate records

  • Assist with financial reporting and analysis

  • Handle additional administrative tasks to support various departments

  • Collaborate with multiple teams across different service areas

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online

  • Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices

  • Experience with accounts receivable, preferably in an insurance-related field

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple tasks

  • Strong communication skills to interact with various departments and external parties
