Your team: The mission of the Discovery team is to research, design, develop and maintain the geospatial analytics of the Intellectus platform in order to secure better lives by providing to our customers valuable data.
The team is cross-functional, self-organized and fully owns specific solutions from back-end to front-end.
The technologies/stack we use include but are not limited to the following:
- Java and Python for the back-end services
- Angular/Typescript and ReactJS for the front-end components
- Docker and Kubernetes for deployment/orchestration
- Gitlab for the CI/CD pipelines
- ELK stack and Jaeger for APM and tracing
About you
As a Software Engineer Team Lead, you will lead the "Discovery" team, working on modern microservice-backed products that gather, analyze, fuse, and present heterogeneous and distributed information for our intelligence solutions.
You should have exceptional communication and leadership skills, a collaborative approach to team dynamics, and a strong ability to solve complex problems. A proactive growth mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to mentor and inspire team members are key to success in this role.
What you’ll work on:
- Lead the development of new applications and features (back-end).
- Break down complex business challenges into actionable software engineering tasks.
- Optimize existing codebases for performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Define project work efforts, create development roadmaps, and manage timelines.
- Perform code reviews, oversee pair-programming sessions, and uphold coding standards.
- Collaborate with product management and cross-functional teams to iterate and enhance product offerings.
- Mentor and support team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
What we look for:
- Hands-on experience with Java (at least 5 years).
- Proven experience leading a team or managing projects in a technical capacity.
- Familiarity with large-scale distributed storage and database systems (SQL or NoSQL, e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, ElasticSearch).
- Experience with message brokers (e.g., MQTT, Kafka, RabbitMQ).
- Proficiency with Version Control (preferably Git).
You’ll stand out if you have:
- Experience with network and/or telecom protocols.
- Working knowledge of Angular/Typescript and front-end technologies in general (HTML, JavaScript, CSS/SCSS/SASS).
- Familiarity with microservice-based, event-driven, cloud-native architectures, including aspects like Application Monitoring, Metrics, Tracing, and Authentication/Authorization.
- Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of Python or Node.js.
- Knowledge of ReactJS.
