A career at Fragomen will provide you with the opportunity to work in an exciting environment for a broad range of clients, where no two days will be the same. You will face interesting challenges and you will work with dedicated, friendly and ambitious people, where providing exceptional client service is at the core of what we do. We are extremely proud of our diverse workforce at Fragomen and we are fully committed to providing equal opportunities.  We believe that our differences make us stronger.

About the team:

Our team is a dynamic and collaborative group of professionals dedicated to providing top-notch immigration services. With a mix of experienced consultants and new talent, we work together to ensure our clients receive the best possible support. Our team is based in both Amsterdam and Brussels, and we pride ourselves on our diverse backgrounds and expertise. Our core responsibilities include managing client projects, developing immigration strategies, and delivering excellent client service. We believe in continuous learning and support each other to grow both personally and professionally.

About the role:

We are looking for an Immigration Consultant to join our Netherlands team for a fixed-term contract of 6 months. This is a full-time position based in our Amsterdam office.

This role offers a fantastic opportunity to join a true global leader and be part of an ongoing success story. By joining our diverse team, you will contribute to the growth, innovation, and consolidation of our immigration business in the region over the course of this 6-month period.

Immigration Consultants are responsible for providing immigration services to a range of clients, primarily but not exclusively, Dutch clients. During the contract period, our Consultants will be entrusted with managing client projects, onboarding new clients, developing case strategy, delivering client and internal training, and contributing to content creation such as articles and blog posts.

Training is provided to Immigration Consultants on a regular basis, and you will be working together with Attorneys and Seniors Consultants that will support you in your day-to-day work. Managers will be overseeing your work performance and will make sure you have what you need to grow.

Other key responsibilities will include:

  • Keep key clients up to date with developments in local immigration law/processes

  • Coordinate additional services with other internal teams

  • Exercise judgement in identifying case issues and vulnerabilities

  • Answer existing and prospective client queries, hosting consultation calls when applicable

  • Document review

  • Ad-hoc project work to streamline/improve processes

  • Oversee billing for own cases

About you:

You are an enthusiastic team player who knows that being a technical expert means that you never stop learning. Direct engagement with clients and a strong commitment to excellent client service is a priority.

The idea of joining a dynamic and growing team energizes you, and you are not afraid to introduce innovative solutions when you identify an opportunity for improvement. You will also not be intimidated by a shifting geopolitical landscape but rather seize the opportunity to demonstrate your expertise and support clients through difficult situations with technical and creative solutions.

You will be a self-starter with excellent communication skills in English and Dutch language and a demonstrated ability to manage your time and caseload.

You have a Bachelor’s or a Master’s degree, preferably specializing in Law/Legal Services, Public Policy, Political Sciences, and 1+ years of experience in business immigration managing a portfolio of clients and diverse projects, or broader global mobility experience in a field such as HR, tax, social security or at a relocation agency.

Also required:

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

  • Proficiency in using immigration-related software and databases

  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain client relationships

  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
