The Senior Manager of Enterprise Strategy will lead critical strategic planning and analysis of commercial/ growth levers for Hershey across its three business units (US Confection, Salty, and International). This individual will need to be an expert in strategic thinking, direction setting, and complex problem solving to enable Hershey’s holistic growth agenda for the enterprise. He/she will advise senior executives as a trusted thought leader and collaborate across business units and functions to drive strategy to action. He/she will oversee multiple initiatives simultaneously and will need to operate at both a detailed, analytical level and a broad, strategic level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead planning and execution of the 3-year Enterprise Strategic plan annually
- Own and execute strategy projects that are cross-functional in scope, with minimal oversight
- Manage, develop, and mentor small teams of indirect reports
- Leading complex problem solving; analyze and synthesize large sets of data from multiple sources, formulate/ validate hypotheses and make business recommendations
- Develop executive-level presentations for the CEO (EC updates, Board presentations, external speaking engagements, etc.)
- Be recognized as an established leader and consultative partner amongst senior leaders
Ideal Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or equivalent marketplace experience highly preferred
- 8+ years of combined experience in leading CPG company or strategic consulting firm
- Strong understanding of financial metrics and P&L fundamentals
- Experience leading strategic and data-driven recommendations and decisions, and driving change in a complex business environment
- Direct or project-based experience in commercial and growth functions
