Overview:
As a Data Architect within our Development Team you will provide technical leadership and are responsible for establishing the direction for the architecture, standards, design, and implementation approaches for the company’s application systems, infrastructure and/or network-based cloud product systems.
Starting base pay for this role is between $140,000 and $175,000. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as transferable skills, work experience, business needs, training, location, and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role will be eligible for a bonus as well as competitive medical, dental, and vision benefits, wellness reimbursement, life insurance, and a 401(k) with company match. We offer vacation and sick leave benefits (under a flexible time off policy in most states).
Responsibilities:
- Creates, evaluates, and implements plans and design proposals for high impact IT solutions and their use involving leading edge technologies and methods considering key factors such as their long-term effectiveness (service delivery and cost), practicality, technical limitations, and criticality.
- Leads or contributes to designs applied to all aspects of business systems and/or infrastructure prototypes and eventual implementation.
- Performs work of high complexity and derives logical processes based on technical platforms.
- Engages in performance/integration testing, problem analysis, business, and technical analysis.
- Possesses broad and deep skills across disciplines, serving as a mentor to others.
- Works with business SMEs, enterprise architects and developers to aid in the design and implementation of relational and dimensional data models.
- Develops and maintain best practices and standards related to data integration between systems and data within systems.
- Consults on design and implementation of data delivery tools and master data solutions
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of progressive responsibilities within data function, with a strong track record of work delivery and organizational leadership.
- 5+ years hands-on experience in data architecture, data modeling, and data management
- Proficient in at least one strongly-typed language (Java, C/C++, C#, etc.).
- Experience with ASP.NET and MVC.
- Modern SQL and NoSQL databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or Redis).
- Ability to resolve design challenges, architectural issues, and design conflicts.
- Ability to quickly learn and comprehend existing complex systems infrastructures.
- Experience designing for large-scale, highly available, fault-tolerant data warehousing and/or OLTP systems in a dynamic environment.
- Demonstrable analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly as it relates to data modeling and enterprise data architecture.
- Expertise and hands-on experience in cloud data capabilities and big data implementations.
- Preferred, Experience in multi-tenant SaaS environment
