Job Description

The Domain Vice President is responsible for providing oversight and direction to the Domain Directors aligned with the organization's culture and mission. Using their in-depth functional knowledge and expertise with personal coaching, prioritization, and conflict resolution, the Domain Vice President will ensure that team performance is optimal and consistently improving based on data and individual growth within the Domain. The Domain Vice President supports the overall vision for the Domain and Hitachi Solutions by nourishing team growth, managing engagement, training, risk, and providing ongoing mentorship. 

 
Key Responsibilities: 

  • Empower the Domain Directors (direct reports) to coach, mentor, and develop employees within the Domain through career development planning, performance management, and career path design.  

  • Ensure there is role clarity and best practices within the domain specialty areas. 

  • Ensure customer focus for all employees in the domain by coaching, mentoring, and providing feedback through the Domain Directors. 

  • Partner with Human Resources to ensure effective hiring practices and appropriate staffing levels within the Domain.  

  • Ensure Domain Directors accountability by establishing metrics for their employee management, skilling, utilization, capacity and certifications as well as their own development goals.  

  • Champion our Pillars of Strength among department members, supporting our company’s DEI initiatives to ensure sustainable growth. 

  • Partner with GDC Manager as it relates to project assignments and staffing. 

  • Responsible for overseeing the annual performance management process within the Domain. 

  • Follow the established performance feedback process through employee recognition, rewards, and corrective action, with the assistance of Human Resources, when necessary.  

  • Responsible for team performance and reporting on metrics, including utilization for the Domain.

Qualifications

 

  • 10+ years of experience in managing teams, with a proven ability to lead multiple people managers and their teams effectively. 

  • Strong leadership skills with a focus on empowering and developing team members through coaching, mentoring, and career development. 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with HR and other stakeholders to ensure proper staffing and hiring practices. 

  • Proven ability to establish clear role definitions and implement best practices within domain specialty areas. 

  • Customer-focused mindset with the ability to instill the same focus within the team through regular coaching and feedback. 

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills to set and monitor metrics, ensuring accountability and continuous improvement. 

  • Commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion, and supporting company initiatives for sustainable growth. 

  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills to partner effectively with GDC and Resource Managers on project assignments and staffing. 

  • Experience in performance management, including providing constructive feedback, recognizing achievements, and implementing corrective actions when necessary. 

  • Ability to analyze and report on team performance metrics, including utilization, to drive informed decision-making and continuous improvement.

Base Salary Pay Range*: $190k -320k
*The current applicable Base Salary Pay Range for this role is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills relevant to the role, internal equity, alignment with market data, or other law.
