Your Role:

This role is accountable for leading the high performing commercial operations function with multiple therapeutic areas at different stages. Reporting to the Vice President, US Sales, this role will be an integral member of the US Sales Leadership Team This individual will help set the direction, culture, and focus for the Commercial Organization and support key strategic decisions. This role will also be responsible for delivering strategic planning and operations capabilities to enable commercial excellence and driving fundamentals of the go-to-market strategy in the US.  This role will help secure SpringWorks Therapeutics’ position in Rare Disease and Oncology by establishing an operating and performance model that enables the commercial organization to achieve strong performance and ambitious growth targets. This role will also serve as the internal subject matter sales operations and market access operations. As SpringWorks expands into OUS markets, this role may be called upon to provide ad hoc support.

Location Classification – Remote:

Officially classified as working full-time from employee’s home office within the United States or respected region, with the expectation to travel to SpringWorks Therapeutics offices or other locations on occasion as business needs. #LI-Remote

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Sets the strategic vision and operating standards for Commercial Operations so that it enhances effectiveness and productivity of sales, marketing, market access, and field reporting and develops a strategy for the commercial operations function that is well-aligned with the overall commercial strategy and priorities of the company.
  • Oversees field effectiveness and enablement operations including territory planning, account management and sales training, sales performance tracking, incentives programming, development and delivery of customer engagement and sales enablement tools (e.g., SFA, CRM, LMS, sales playbooks), , compliance reporting, and meeting planning
  • Enhances operational effectiveness and accelerates the delivery and dissemination of information, processes, and platforms across business partners and the Commercial Organization. Ensures compliance and reporting with local and federal requirements.
  • Establishes a rigorous management and operating model for the commercial organization that enables planning and accountability of core capabilities as well as cross-functional collaboration which culminates into an effective annual and multi-year business and brand planning
  • Provides leadership to democratize data science and business intelligence by working closely with VP of Data, Advanced Analytics & Insights to deliver a quantified and shared view of opportunities and best in class decision-making tools for the Commercial Organization (e.g., real-time dashboards, competitive and market intelligence platforms)
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Works closely with VP US Market Access to establish patient services and trade & distribution capabilities, with Finance to setup and systems and processes for financial activities and capabilities of the Commercial Organization, with IT to setup systems and technologies, and other key stakeholders to establish core capabilities of the commercial business unit
  • Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders including Sales, Marketing, Finance, IT, Human Resources, Compliance and the Commercial Leadership Team to drive projects throughout the Commercial Organization.
  • Manages the annual budget for Commercial Operations 

Role Requirements:

  • BA or BS in relevant field
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • 12+ years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree; or 10 years and a master’s degree; or a PhD with 6 years’ experience in the biotech industry
  • 8+ years of field operations experience at a senior level spanning multiple brands, including incentive compensation design and management.
  • 6+ years people leadership experience
  • Lauch experience in a competitive marketplace
  • Consulting experience a plus
  • Experience in designing, implementing, and managing CRM systems
  • Experience in launching specialty / rare products in the US preferred
  • Experienced in start-up operations preferred
  • Field-based team and performance strategy /data analytics, sales force deployment, customer targeting/segmentation, CRM experience
  • Possesses an agile and consultative culture that challenges the status quo of the commercial team
  • Rare disease/oncology therapeutic area preferred
  • Proven leadership skills with ability to build credible and strong relationships
  • Experience building high-performing teams, with a focus on culture and compliance, and launch excellence.
  • Understands and provides guidance on people related matters and demonstrates capability to navigate complex people management topics.
  • Ability to work in a fast-moving, dynamic small-company environment with limited oversight
  • Ability to lead by example, attract and develop talent, build partnerships and create a culture of collaboration and high performing teams that fosters open communication, constructive feedback and organizational flexibility

Compensation and Benefits:
The expected salary range for this position is $222,000 – $306,000. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.
