Overview:
Kemin is seeking a talented and dedicated Key Account Manager. The successful candidate will be in charge of and responsible for increasing Kemin’s business within the animal agricultural industries in Ontario. To achieve this goal the Key Account Manager will work closely with all the major players within each industry and will be responsible for growing existing accounts as well as expanding Kemin’s current business through the addition of new accounts. This individual will be responsible to manage all accounts in the area as part of a team involving other Kemin employees, including Technical Service Managers, Product Managers, and other Key Account Managers as well as Kemin’s Distributors in the area. This position reports to the Country Manager of Kemin Canada. Extensive travel, mostly by car, with some air travel, will be required. This position is considered to be 40 hours per week, but requires tremendous flexibility and the ability to multi-task.
This is a remote position that will require primarily road travel up to 70%. While responsible for Ontario, a large part of business will be conducted in the London area.

Responsibilities:
- Achieve consistent growth in sales and gross margin, in accordance with sales budgets.
- Identifying and qualifying prospective customers.
- Developing and advancing sales projects for new and existing customers and managing these projects through all the phases.
- Hosting and leading producer meetings to enhance the Kemin Brand and products in Canada and Distributors.
- Establishing mutually beneficial business relationships with key motivators at assigned customers.
- Making technical sales presentations on Kemin’s programs/products.
- Helping customers to understand Kemin’s products and implementation strategies.
- Identifying and resolving concerns.
- Work closely with Kemin’s Distributors
Qualifications:
- Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or higher education in a science or agriculture related field with 7+ years of experience in technical sales within the animal agricultural industry.
- A solid understanding of the chemical and biological sciences to prepare and present detailed technical and commercial presentations to prospective customers.
- Preferred experience in managing sales projects through all the relevant phases of the project that will lead to a successful completion.
- Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office products and Customer Relation Management tools.
- A high degree of personal motivation, a desire to make an immediate contribution and a distinct sense of urgency.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
