QA Engineer Automation Tester


Automation Tester with extensive Application & API testing experience with Database Testing knowledge.

Years of Experience: 6 to 10 years (min. 5 years in strong automation testing)
Remote role (Anywhere in India)

Job Description:
We are looking for QA Engineer to analyze & validate Web based applications, Databases & APIs as part of Functional Testing requirements. This is a position where candidate has taken ownership of the entire QA of stated project within complex project setup to ensure product quality & interact with client on day-to-day basis. Responsibilities include designing and implementing tests, debugging, and defining corrective actions. Candidate will also review system requirements and track quality assurance metrics. This role plays an important part in our company's product development process. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting tests before product launches to ensure software runs smoothly and meets client needs, while being cost-effective.

Responsibilities:
  1. Strong knowledge in software QA methodologies, and common web application technologies.
  2. Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process & JIRA.
  3. Proficient in developing automated test scripts in Java.
  4. Hands-on experience in BDD/Cucumber.
  5. Experience in Automating Web Based Applications using Selenium.
  6. Experience in Automating Databases.
  7. Experience in Automating APIs using RestAssured.
  8. Proven work experience in software quality assurance, especially web-based applications
  1. Experience with Database Testing with DBA knowledge in SQL, MySQL & No-SQL (MongoDB)
  2. Strong Knowledge in API Testing & Postman
  3. Experience in developing Functional testing artifacts, writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases
  4. We use BDD framework (Cucumber & Junit) to automate stable applications
  5. Must have strong communication skills (US Standards) because they will be communicating with US based developers and testers
  6. Any experience in writing test cases using languages like Python and JavaScript is a plus.
