Job description

Stambaugh Ness (SN) is a multi-discipline, professional services firm serving clients nationally with a strategic focus on architecture and engineering, professional services, construction and real estate, and manufacturing industries. 

As a Strategic Partnerships Lead within our Marketing team you will cultivate strategic relationships with external organizations serving the AEC industry to maximize mutual benefit in line with Stambaugh Ness’ strategic vision. Your efforts will play a critical role in strengthening our national brand, expanding our network, driving business growth, and enhancing our position as a trusted partner within the industry.

This is a remote position that can work from anywhere within the United States.

What you’ll do at SN:

  • Identify Partnership Opportunities. You will identify new and existing long-term strategic partners that provide SN with exposure to potential new clients and opportunities in the AEC market.
  • Build & Manage Relationships. Build strong and enduring relationships with key stakeholders. Understand their objectives, challenges, and priorities to effectively deliver ideas for mutual benefit. Nurture existing relationships, anticipate their needs, and proactively identify opportunities to deepen engagement and deliver value-added solutions.
  • Negotiate Partnerships: Lead negotiations and discussions with potential partners. Effectively communicate Stambaugh Ness' value proposition, services, and expertise.
  • Collaborate & Engage: Collaborate with internal teams, including business development, marketing, and subject matter experts, to develop and execute partnership strategies and initiatives. Engage with these teams to ensure alignment, leverage expertise, and drive successful outcomes. Act as an internal resource and connector for others within SN who own strategic relationships.
  • Report and Analyze: Monitor and report on partnership performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement. Track key metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness and impact of strategic partnerships on business growth.

What you may have done before:

  • Actively pursued new business opportunities and managed key client relationships in the AEC industry
  • Worked or volunteered with professional organizations such as ACEC, AIA, ASCE

What it takes to be a Strategic Partnerships Lead:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or similar field
  • Proven experience in marketing, strategic partnerships, industry associations, especially within the AEC or accounting industries
  • Deep understanding of the AEC landscape & have a strong network and established relationships within ACEC or AIA
  • Advanced communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to establish rapport and credibility internally and externally
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to gather and interpret market data, identify trends, and make decisions informed by data
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and results-oriented
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in CRM disciplines/software
The hiring process:
  • Stage 1 (Preliminary Screening Call) with a member of our recruitment team
  • Stage 2 (Manager & CGO Interview) 2 interviews, one with the leader of Marketing team and one with the Chief Growth Officer
  • Stage 3 (Practice Area Leaders & HR Interview) 4 interviews, meeting with three key practice area leaders in the firm and one with a member of our HR team
  • Stage 4 (CEO Interview) meet with the CEO
  • Stage 5 (Offer)

Salary: The salary range for this position is an estimate of $95,000 - $125,000. A final compensation offer within this range will be based on factors including an individual’s skill sets, experience, knowledge, licensure and certifications, and geography.
