WeVote has an open volunteer position for a person who has or would like to gain experience in Talent Acquisition Operations. This is an opportunity to work remotely with our active talent acquisition team as we build a 100% volunteer-based VoterTech organization ramping up for the 2024 and beyond election seasons. Our ideal volunteer is passionate about politics and excited to support a team advocating the use of technology to educate voters and increase voter turnout.

WeVote has a (volunteer) Talent Acquisition Ops Specialist to work with our Chief Talent Officer, 4 to 6 Recruiters, and a TA Project Manager to optimize TA processes, Technology, Partnerships, and Job Boards. This is an ideal role for a person who aspires to work in Talent Acquisition and brings passion, an intentional work style, and natural curiosity. 

You want to work with an excellent team that is driven and nationally recognized. This position is for 4+ hours per week.

What You'll Do

  • Ensure requisitions are correctly written/posted within our JazzHR ATS instance.
  • Cross-post requisitions to non-syndicated job boards (Idealist & VolunteerMatch).
  • Attend our Introduction Webinar 1x per month to capture attendees, support Q&A, and help ensure a great event experience for potential volunteers.
  • Work with our Onboarding team to smooth the process from "Prospective Volunteer" to being a WeVote Volunteer.
  • Make suggestions to the team! (no wallflowers allowed).

Who you are: Must haves.

  • You want to work with an established and successful team. You are committed to strengthening American Democracy.
  • You are striving for personal excellence, and want to do meaningful work that will make a difference.
  • 4+ hours per week during our core team hours M-F 8 a.m. - 6 p.m.
  • A willingness to work with and support other volunteers.
  • You are computer/software savvy.
  • You are a future Recruiter, TA Manager, or similar TA tool/SaaS Implementation Specialist.
  • You are located within the US
  • You are comfortable working in a remote setting
