The Position:
Position General Summary:
The Technician, Accounts Receivable is responsible for the day-to-day accounting process for the accounts receivable transactions for Florida Virtual School. The Technician, Accounts Receivable ensures the accuracy and efficiency of operations, including verifying, posting, processing, and monitoring of accounts receivable data.
Essential Position Functions:
Performs day-to-day recording of daily banking transactions from various platforms and posting payments into accounting and CRM systems
Investigates anomalies and reconciles payments received to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted
Accurately enters, reviews and/or modifies data using various software programs
Assists with collections functions, including, email, or mail correspondence, and contacting customers on the phone
Works at Headquarters 1-2 days a week to receive, code, and process incoming checks into the accounting and CRM systems
Maintains demographic information on customers and ensures the accuracy of that data between accounting and CRM systems
Prepares reports and spreadsheets as necessary
Assists in weekly check deposits through the remote online banking system
Assists with invoice uploads to systems that track accounts receivable, setting up pay plans, and reviewing and processing customer refund requests
Assists with research and testing of financial systems, filing system for audit records, and providing information to auditors
Meets professional obligations through efficient work habits such as, meeting deadlines, honoring schedules, coordinating resources and meetings in an effective and timely manner, and demonstrating respect for others

Minimum Requirements:
Education/Licensure/Certification:
Experience:
Two years of bookkeeping, general accounting, auditing, or finance experience
Two years of data entry experience
Experienced in Microsoft Office suite
Intermediate Excel skills preferred
Salesforce.com experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA's):
Knowledge of MS Windows, MS Office, and analytical software
Knowledge of basic accounting and financial processes and procedures
Effective verbal and written communication
Skills in working in a detail-oriented, deadline-driven environment.
