Job Description:

Omni Tempe Hotel at ASU is seeking a versatile Prep Cook to join our culinary team, primarily focused on supporting our banquets culinary team. This role may also assist in other kitchens around the property. The ideal candidate has a passion for culinary arts, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and assemble bruschetta according to restaurant standards, ensuring consistency in quality and presentation.
  • Assist with prep work for Neighborhood Services, including chopping, slicing, and dicing vegetables, preparing proteins, and ensuring all ingredients are ready for service.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation throughout the shift.
  • Assist with stocking and organizing ingredients, ensuring proper rotation and freshness.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure efficient workflow between the bar and restaurant.
  • Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines, adhering to health department standards.
  • Assist with any other culinary tasks as needed to support the overall kitchen operation.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as a Prep Cook or in a similar culinary role.
  • Strong knife skills and familiarity with kitchen equipment.
  • Ability to follow recipes accurately and consistently.
  • A positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively with a team.
  • Flexibility to work primarily PM shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

 

*This position is a full-time, on-site position with no work from home flexibility.
