Sr. Manager, Product Marketing | Acorns

Acorns is seeking a Sr. Product Marketing Manager to join our dynamic team. Working cross-functionally with Brand, Paid Acquisition, CRM / Lifecycle, Product, and Design, you will activate go-to-market strategies ranging from awareness campaigns, conversion, cross-sell and up-sell for our current financial wellness system of products and new product features.

This person should have deep empathy for our customers, a mastery of global go-to-market strategy, and a proven track record of surpassing business goals.

The role reports to the Director of Product Marketing.

This role has the option to be remote or based in our Irvine, CA or New York, NY offices.

Within 1 month, you will:

  • Embrace our mission to look after the financial best interests of the up-and-coming

  • Understand our brand, values, and story while learning the voice of our customer

  • Meet and develop partnerships with cross-functional stakeholders such as: acquisition, brand, CRM/Lifecycle, product, design, communications, and customer support.

Within 6 months, you will:

  • Translate current and future Acorns customer needs to inform the product messaging, points of differentiation, marketing content, and collateral.

  • Confidently guide reviews and solicit feedback on work during large meetings with senior leadership, fostering open dialogue and ensuring alignment on key initiatives.

  • Execute multiple aspects of product marketing; from product positioning to product launches and strategy, education and engagement campaigns, events and contests.

  • Measure and report against the performance of product marketing initiatives

Within 12 months, you will:

  • Leading the development and execution of Acorns marketing strategy across multiple Acorns new and existing products

  • Build a scalable and maintainable vision for Acorns that determines how we build a better financial wellness system.

What you will bring to Acorns:

  • 6+ years of Product Marketing, Growth Marketing, or Product Management experience; experience in global organizations preferred

  • Experience crafting & implementing customer segmentation based on demographics, attitudes, behaviors and lifetime value.

  • Demonstrated track record of creating customer segment oriented campaigns to steer new customer acquisition, deepen engagement & retention

  • Advanced quantitative and deductive skills. Ability to distinguish between the signal and the noise and make data-guided actions.

  • Outstanding prioritization and project management skills

  • Powerful storyteller: written, verbal, and visual 

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams

  • Self-starter and ability to build programs from scratch: be ready to roll-up your sleeves and get things done

Compensation Information:

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $145,000 and $170,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including equity grants and discretionary cash bonus awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
