About the team and the role: 

We are seeking an expert, disciplined and professional Executive Assistant to work in partnership with the Vice President of Global Communications. The Global Communications team brings eBay’s story to life to educate, engage and encourage people around the world. This person will be professional, discreet, approachable, upbeat, and a connector who is a positive reflection of both Executives and their teams.

What you will accomplish: 

  • Executive calendar management: Screen, schedule and prioritize meetings and activities in-line with business priorities

  • Meeting preparation: Schedule meetings, reserve rooms and prepare documents on behalf of the VP

  • Budget management: Manage team expenses, PO’s, invoices and approvals

  • Meeting minutes: Responsible for distributing documents, taking meeting minutes and supervising follow ups for key meetings

  • Event planning: Coordinate office events, team off-sites and All Hands meetings and arrange for venues, food, technical support and materials as needed

  • Travel: Arrange both domestic/international flights, accommodations and visas

  • Expense reimbursements: Prepare, file and track all business related expense reimbursements

  • Host visitors: Interact with partners and outside vendors including e-mail communications, in-person meetings and ad hoc interactions

  • Establish effective relationships with EAs across the company

  • Provide some ad-hoc limited support and mentorship to direct reports and broader team

What you will bring: 

  • Proven experience supporting a VP level executive

  • Highly organized and efficient with ability to work on tight deadlines

  • Ability to multitask, take direction, operate optimally in a fast paced environment

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Proactive, detailed, resourceful, flexible and diligent

  • Capable of building strong personal internal and external relationships

  • Working experience with Google Workspace and Microsoft office suite

  • Ability to use discretion for sensitive and confidential matters

  • Ability to work across cultures and time zones

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment in California, Washington, or New York is expected in the range below.

$56,800 - $117,150

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
