Job description

VetsEZ is seeking a full-time remote InterSystems HealthShare/IRIS Architect to design and deliver integrated health solutions for federal healthcare clients, emphasizing automation and semantic interoperability. This hands-on role combines technical leadership with solution design, translating complex requirements into scalable, robust architectures.

The candidate must reside within the continental US.

Responsibilities:

  • Architect and configure the InterSystems HealthShare/IRIS platform with a focus on automation and CI/CD.
  • Design solutions leveraging healthcare standards like HL7v2, FHIR, and IHE.
  • Lead development teams, driving the creation of scalable, future-ready solutions.
  • Develop APIs, web services (REST, SOAP), and API-based integrations.
  • Utilize CI/CD tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes) and AWS-based architectures.
  • Using AWS-based cloud architectures, VM and Containers, and deployment strategies to Architect solutions.
  • Implement security protocols including OAuth 2.0, OIDC, and SAML 2.0.
  • Program using InterSystems ObjectScript, .NET (C#), or other OOP languages.
  • Apply Enterprise Integration Patterns to solution designs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in solution architecture and team leadership.
  • Proven ability to develop enterprise-level interoperability solutions.
  • HealthShare Unified Care Record Technical Specialist.
  • SAFe Agile Architect is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer advocacy skills.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Eligible for Public Trust Clearance.
  • Flexible, team-oriented, and skilled at adapting to shifting priorities.
  • Background in VA systems and healthcare is preferred.
