Position Summary

Reporting to the SVP of Corporate Communications, the Vice President of Corporate Communications leads key internal communications functions for Teladoc Health including message development, executive visibility and employee communications. The position oversees the strategic development and daily workflow of a small team of in-house staff and contractors charged with creating content and building channels in support of the Teladoc Health employee brand narrative and promotion through a broad range of internal and tactics. 

 

  • Collaborates with Executives to develop communications goals and strategies that advance employee and brand related OKRs. 

  • Develops and syndicates messaging and content that brings the Teladoc Health employee narrative to life. 

  • Advises and counsels senior company executives on stakeholder presentations and messaging as lead for executive communications. 

  • Ensures coherent and aligned messaging for employees across all business units and corporate functions 

  • Writes speeches, messaging and other materials that clearly and compellingly communicate our mission, values and successes to key stakeholder groups. 

  • Creates employee engagement campaigns and communications programs that inform, inspire and engage the 5000+ members of the Teladoc Health team. 

  • Produces employee events and town halls including the development of inspirational content and flawless execution. 

  • Manages Teladoc Health’s internal intranet presence and works to establish a mobile employee communications platform. 

  • Innovates and evolves employee communications channels using a multi-media approach. 

  • Works in partnership with Human Resources to develop and promote the Teladoc Health employer brand. 

 

Required Qualifications 

 

  • Bachelor's degree in communications or related field; Master’s degree highly valued.  

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience advising and coaching senior executives on internal, corporate communications in the healthcare industry  

  • 10 years of experience designing and executing communications plans and strategies. 

  • 10 years of experience successfully writing for a range of senior executives, especially speechwriting 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to provide writing examples at interview stage.

  • Strong sense of what makes a good story and the ability to craft compelling narratives. 

  • Highly developed organizational skills and attention to detail. 

  • Solid time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks. 

  • Ability to function well in a fast-paced and supervise a growing team. 

 

The base salary range for this position is $230,000-$245,000. In addition to a base salary, this position is eligible for performance bonus, RSU’s, and benefits (subject to eligibility requirements). Total compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications. This information is applicable for all full-time positions.
