The role partners with Belron Technical and Operations and delivers state-of-the-art and future-proof information technology that directly enables Belron’s strategic capabilities, such as Recalibration (Revenue €500 million in 2022), and provides critical information to technicians to reduce risk of post-fitting issues and technician safety. The role leads transformational projects on global basis and acts as a Global IT Business Partner for BT&Ops. The role oversees quality and performance of BT&Ops IT services and recalibration technology provided by strategic partners, e.g. Bosch, globally.)

This role offers a development opportunity for an internal candidate keen to advance their career in the field of automotive technology and innovation.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Develop true business partnerships with key senior business stakeholders
  • Drive the continuous improvement and innovation of Recalibration technology and processes, collaborating closely with the Recalibration Test Centre and external partners like Bosch.
  • Drive innovation and change in end-to-end processes including technology, data, risk management and culture.
  • Identify and manage operational excellence and/or continuous improvement opportunities across a wide variety of processes
  • Implement strategic design thinking for end-to-end process journeys for both customers & employees (technicians)
  • Ensure that business requirements, process, data, solution and technology are aligned and integrated to support the customer & employee experience
  • Support the business with creation of capability roadmap and managing the ongoing development of maturity growth in capability
  • Ensure plans and deliverables are identified, defined, understood and delivered to standards
  • Work closely with relevant internal and external business stakeholders ensuring engagement, connectivity and alignment to the end-to-end designs
  • Manage a small team of direct reports and a portfolio of external suppliers
  • Lead and influence a large international community responsible for execution in countries (Ops Directors, IT Managers).
  • Collaborates with internal experts from BT&Ops teams and utilises the best expertise to benefit all.

  • Degree educated

Work Experience

  • Worked on major transformation programmes that included large technology implementations

Knowledge & Skills

  • Excellent collaboration and relationship management skills.
  • Demonstrable evidence of stakeholder management.
  • Ability to handle diverse workload and tight schedules.
  • Excels in working among diverse viewpoints to determine the best path forward
  • Ability to work effectively in diverse cultures of Belron business units and partners (e.g., Bosch)
  • Working proficiency in English language is essential

Circumstances

  • Internal candidates are preferred
  • Hybrid working - must be able to travel to offices in Milton Park, Cologne (Germany) and to partner sites (e.g., Bosch in Germany) when required  
  • Occasional travel internationally when required

The following skills & experience are desirable:

  • Lean Six Sigma certified (BB)
  • Project Management (APM/PRINCE2)
  • Worked in agile, technology product-oriented environments
  • Worked in Global business
  • Experience with Recalibration technologies and processes
  • Worked in automotive industry
  • Experience of Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement
  • Experience of developing transformational end to end process designs
  • Data Analytics - able to process complex data to assess and build recommendation
  • Has a proven ability to apply strategic thinking to multiple, complex organizational and business issues, and has ability to translate into practical plans for project execution
  • Change Management - must be capable of managing wholesale change programs that will cross over many teams
