Position Summary:
As a Recruitment and Marketing Specialist you will be a key member of the Talent Acquisition Team within the People Services department at Protocall. In this role you will regularly support the applicant journey from first contact to day one and beyond. You will do this by promoting the company brand, attracting top talent, and supporting the hiring process through strategic marketing and recruitment initiatives. This includes managing and optimizing pay-per-click (PPC) campaigns on platforms like Indeed and other recruitment channels, as well as researching, developing, and executing social media strategies in video and text formats to expand audience engagement. You will handle both internal and external communications to ensure consistent and engaging messaging that aligns with the company’s values while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
You will position yourself as a thought leader in recruitment marketing, constantly seeking innovative ways to enhance outreach and engagement strategies to meet and exceed organizational targets. As a subject matter expert in both marketing and talent acquisition, you’ll align initiatives with the company’s strategic needs, support the recruitment team with various tasks, and provide additional assistance as required.
Basic Responsibilities:

- Employer Brand and Talent Attraction: Conduct research, develop strategies, and implement initiatives focused on employer branding, reputation management, and attracting top talent. Regularly utilize marketing tools, such as Canva and Google Suite, to design, execute, and optimize recruitment and branding efforts.
- Social Media Content Creation: Regularly create effective ad copy, video content, and other engaging materials tailored for social media platforms like LinkedIn, Facebook, TikTok, and others to maximize brand visibility and attract high-quality candidates. This includes being comfortable on video and actively engaging in video content creation to authentically represent the company brand and culture.
- Career Boards and PPC Management: Oversee and manage postings on Indeed and other career boards, as well as various pay-per-click (PPC) platforms, to maximize visibility and attract qualified candidates effectively.
- Thought Leadership and Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert in all areas of marketing and branding, positioning yourself as an innovative leader in the talent acquisition space.
- Collaborative Project Management: Work closely with key stakeholders, navigating the complexities of timing, deadlines, and changing priorities to ensure recruitment and marketing initiatives are effectively implemented. This involves flexibility, proactive communication, and a focus on maintaining positive, constructive
- Applicant Journey Support: Assist in facilitating the recruitment process as needed from initial contact through to the candidate's first day, ensuring a smooth and positive applicant experience.
- Internal Marketing and Communications: Regularly develop and execute internal marketing communications to drive internal referrals, long term retention and various other internal projects and initiatives.
- Data and Information Management: Handle sensitive organizational data with the utmost discretion, demonstrating a thorough understanding of relevant laws and regulations related to personnel information and exercising sound judgment.

- Applicant Funnel Support: Provide seamless support through each stage of the applicant journey, ensuring candidates have a positive experience from initial engagement to onboarding, with attention to detail at every interaction.
- Talent Fulfillment and Quality: Successfully attract and onboard sufficient talent to meet the organization’s demands, validated by both hiring timelines and hiring manager satisfaction with candidate quality.
- Optimization and Innovation in Marketing: Regularly review, refine, and optimize recruitment and branding campaigns, especially in PPC and social media, ensuring continuous improvement in engagement metrics and cost-effectiveness.
- Training and Retention Success: Track the percentage of hired applicants who successfully complete training programs, using these outcomes as a metric of quality hires and alignment with role requirements.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
The Recruitment and Marketing Specialist reports to the Manager of Employee Relations and serves as a recruitment marketing expert at Protocall. This role is responsible for driving talent attraction through strategic branding, content creation, and targeted recruitment initiatives. Key areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to:
Marketing Responsibilities:
- Content Creation and Social Media Management: Regularly create engaging ad copy, video content, and other materials tailored for social media platforms like LinkedIn, Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram. This includes being comfortable on video and engaging in video content creation to authentically represent Protocall’s brand and culture.
- PPC Campaign and Career Board Management: Oversee and optimize pay-per-click (PPC) campaigns on Indeed, Google, and other recruitment platforms, managing budgets and targeting to maximize reach and visibility. Track and adjust campaigns based on performance metrics to ensure cost-effective talent attraction.
- Job Posting and Employer Brand Maintenance: Maintain and regularly update job postings on platforms such as Indeed and LinkedIn, ensuring they align with Protocall’s employer brand. Make strategic recommendations for posting improvements to enhance engagement and attract best-fit candidates.
- Marketing Campaign Strategy and Execution: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to plan and execute recruitment marketing campaigns that align with organizational hiring goals. Coordinate with other departments to ensure content and messaging are consistent across all channels and maintain a positive employer brand presence.
- Data Analysis and Optimization: Analyze data from recruitment and marketing campaigns to assess performance, make adjustments, and improve strategies over time. Leverage insights from candidate engagement metrics and conversion rates to optimize content, PPC campaigns, and job postings.
- Recruitment Brand Development: Stay current with trends in recruitment marketing and make proactive recommendations to strengthen Protocall’s recruitment brand. Implement strategic plans to maintain and improve Protocall's presence in the job market, positioning the company as an employer of choice.

Recruitment and Onboarding Responsibilities:
- Talent Attraction and Engagement: Provide creative problem-solving and innovative ideas to attract best-fit employees. Stay informed about current trends in recruitment and social media, supporting the ongoing development of interview processes, selection criteria, and applicant communications.
- Candidate Communication and Experience: Maintain active, day-to-day contact with applicants and new hires through email, chat, and phone, delivering a positive experience throughout the recruitment and onboarding process. Participate in interviews and recruitment meetings as needed to support hiring managers and candidates.
- Interview and Selection Support: Review job postings regularly and provide recommendations for improvements as needed. Assist in scheduling internal and external interviews and coordinate background check reviews with management and applicants.
- Onboarding and Documentation Management: Ensure meticulous completion of new hire paperwork, manage I-9 documentation with E-Verify compliance, and conduct thorough reviews of signed documents to verify completion of acknowledgment forms. Provide essential support for Cohort Training and maintain accurate, up-to-date onboarding records.
- Pre-Employment Process Coordination: Manage the applicant pre-employment process, including background checks and interview coordination, ensuring a seamless transition into the onboarding phase.

Qualifications & Requirements:
Requirements for the Recruitment and Marketing Specialist Position:
- High School Diploma
- Two Years of Marketing Experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Marketing, or a related field is preferred, along with at least two years of relevant marketing experience. However, relevant marketing experience, Human Resources certificates, or marketing certifications may be considered in place of a degree.
- Hands-on experience managing Pay Per Click (PPC) platforms, including Google Ads, Bing Ads, Facebook Ads, Instagram Ads, LinkedIn Ads, TikTok Ads, and Indeed Sponsored Jobs, with a demonstrated track record of achieving or exceeding specific engagement or conversion goals.
- Demonstrable experience with recruitment marketing strategies, including social media content creation, ad copywriting, and campaign management across digital channels, with a focus on increasing candidate engagement and driving application rates.
- Proven creativity in developing compelling social media content, generating fresh ideas for posts, ads, and videos, and effectively engaging audiences across various platforms.
