Are you ready to be a critical member of the benefits team focused on increasing candidate and associate engagement? If so, you are the Benefits Analyst we are looking for. This position will be remote working in Eastern or Central time zones.
Reporting to the Benefits Director, you will play a key role in developing, implementing and administering all retirement, health, welfare, life and disability programs for Beacon Mobility and its companies. The Benefits Analyst will interface with plan vendors, the Human Resources company-wide community, IT, Payroll and other internal departments. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to researching, analysis, auditing and administering benefit and retirement plans and programs, as well as vendor management for all benefits programs. This individual is responsible for reconciling benefits data to ensure compliance with corporate policies and applicable benefits legislation.
- Responsible for all administrative functions as they relate to the benefits team day to day tasks, including vendor management for all benefits programs and the annual enrollment planning process for the overall organization
- Compiles, analyzes and reports data including employee, plan financials for strategic benefits planning and evaluation
- Assists with implementation of benefits operation projects as needed
- Ensures exceptional customer service while counseling and responding to benefits inquiries from HR, managers and employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries
- Assist with Leave of Absence, FMLA, PFL and DBL programs and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
- Assists with the annual enrollment communications and process
- Performs benefit plan audits including 401 (k) plans
- Processes payments for carrier invoices
- Stays current with changes in benefits and related legislation (HIPAA, Patient Protection Affordable Care Act (PPACA)
- Monitors the industry and external market and provide analysis on the impact of relevant developments
- Performs other duties and/or special projects as assigned
Qualifications:
A successful candidate will be a self-motivated problem solver who is detail-oriented and eager to grow professionally within the benefits field.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience of demonstrated benefits administration
- Excellent organization, prioritization, analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, self-starter, ability to multi-task and focus on priorities
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Experience and understanding of applicable federal and local regulations pertaining to benefits (ERISA, HIPAA, PPACA, etc.)
- Maturity and discretion in dealing with confidential matters and demonstrate the highest level of client service and support
- Ability to successfully navigate complex problems and business situations
- Ability to gather requirements, document processes and manage projects
- Ability to take ownership of projects as assigned and drive them to successful, on time completion
- Demonstrated success working in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving, high performance work environment and team-oriented culture
- Demonstrated Advanced skills and usability in Office Products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
- Workday knowledge is a plus
