Your mission:

As a Sales Engineer you will cooperate closely with our Sales Executives to pursue and close opportunities. You are the technical expert in the relationship with international customers during the sales process, including service offerings, solution design and implementation. You are the interface between our internal teams to ensure that high quality is delivered, and success criteria are met.
Your first 3 months at Ontinue:
- Get to know the Sales Engineering team and the Sales Executives you closely work with
- Familiarize yourself with our Cybersecurity and Network Security service offerings through internal training and self-learning
- Support your regional Partner/Channel peers to discover new opportunities and build pipeline
- Engage in discovery calls and early stage opportunities together with an experienced Sales Engineer for hands-on learning
- Understand the Ontinue value proposition and use it to challenge prospects and open up opportunities
Your key responsibilities:
- Assessment of customer security posture, needs and technical requirements
- Presentation of security services including live demos
- Lead technical workshops and architecture sessions
- Complete RFP responses and actively participate in RFP defense meetings along with the Product and Sales teams.
- Challenging and updating customers' outdated security approaches with our best-practice solutions
- Handover of new customers to account management and delivery teams
Must haves:
To be successful in this role you will bring the following:
You have a university degree in Computer Science or a related field and enjoy the combination of technology and communication skills. You are highly motivated to learn new skills and expand your existing theoretical and practical knowledge in training programs offered by internal domain experts and team colleagues, and ideally you bring some of the following skills to the table:
- Commitment to develop customer and partner/channel relationships
- Competence to work in a team, as well as individually
- Willingness to travel
- Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English
- Strong technical background in IT Security (SIEM, SOAR, SOC) and its frameworks and standards
- Deep understanding of cloud technologies, especially Microsoft Azure and Azure Sentinel
- Familiarization with the Microsoft cloud portfolio and family of security products/services including the M365 E5 security suite
- Understanding of core security technologies and concepts such identity protection, cloud security, network & perimeter security, endpoint protection
- Understanding of the DACH SOC landscape to enhance customer consultations
- Fluent German speaking is essential
