Job Summary:

Acquisitions of mature agrifood software companies that fit this strategic need is at the core of achieving this goal.

M&A Business Development (BD) responsibilities represent the front-end of Cultura's acquisition activities. Business Development resources are responsible for establishing contacts, building relationships with CEOs and owners of agrifood software companies across North America, and nurturing those relationships until they are ready to consider their options.

We are looking for a driven, results-oriented individual with excellent interpersonal skills and a curious nature to join our M&A team.

Job Description:

  • Demonstrating creativity, persistence, and credibility in reaching out to Owners, Operators and C-Suite leadership
  • Initiating and maintaining relationships with owners of software businesses, M&A brokers and investment banks. You will be their first and primary point of contact throughout the M&A journey.
  • Obtaining high-level financial and operational information and updating our proprietary Salesforce database
  • Gathering, analyzing, and presenting target company information to the M&A team and company executives
  • Maintaining and building a proprietary database of industry contacts
  • Manage and expand an existing prospect funnel of opportunities
  • Conducting industry research to support business development activities
  • Identifying leads for vertical market software businesses meeting our strategic criteria and specific metrics
  • Searching in Salesforce for lead opportunities
  • Updating Salesforce with your, as well as other team members notes, plus the latest market data to secure the accounts
  • Supporting the M&A team on other business development related projects

Knowledge or qualifications required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience, ideally in a business development or enterprise sales role
  • Undergraduate degree in finance or business
  • Software / Technology sector experience is a plus.
