Purpose and Scope
The Chargeback Contract Analyst resolves customer chargeback related problems, disputes, and discrepancies and assists with processing requests for chargeback credits. The role also resolves A/R balances related to chargeback deductions by wholesalers/distributors and coordinates this activity with the Finance Department. In addition to these responsibilities, the role is responsible for resolving issues related to membership of GPO and Institutional contracts. The role will also be responsible or calculating GPO Administration Fees for payment and assist the Director with department-related commercial contract administration.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Resolves contract issues that may prevent timely and accurate processing of daily chargeback submissions.
- Reconciles chargeback claims and leads the dispute resolution process of chargeback denials and wholesaler deductions.
- Researches and resolves customer A/R chargeback discrepancies and disputes by analyzing documentation and discussing issues with wholesaler/distributor and Finance Department.
- Determines customer requests for additional credit on resubmissions. Researches and analyzes documentation to determine the validity of the request. Resolves the problem by contacting customers through written correspondence or direct interface.
- Detects subtle but abnormal patterns in chargebacks that the revenue management system is incapable of discovering.
- Assists with implementing new and renewed contracts in the revenue management system.
- Coordinates pricing with wholesalers/distributors and develops procedures to resolve differences within 24 hours.
- Maintains orderly contract files, both hard copy and electronic, of GPO institutional contracts.
- Performs analyses and creates reports related to contract performance and compliance.
- Acts as subject matter expert (SME) for the contract and chargebacks modules in the revenue management system.
- Serves as a backup for Contract Analyst.

Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience within pharmaceutical industry.
- Experience with revenue management systems. Experience with Model N or Revitas a plus.
- Minimum of 3+ years of work related experience.
- Prior analysis, contract, or membership experience.
Working Conditions
- Office environment; requiring sitting and standing.
- Travel as required.
Compensation
Tolmar compensation programs are focused on equitable, fair pay practices including market-based base pay and a strong benefits package. The final compensation offered may vary from the posted range based on the selected candidates qualifications and experience.
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between ($75,000 and $95,000 year); however, while salary ranges are effective from 1/1/24 through 12/31/24, fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges during this period. Further, final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to geographical location, experience level, knowledge, skills and abilities.
