Overview
The Sr. Solutions Engineer is a member of the Warehouse Solutions team. The primary role of this position is to analyze customer's inventory and shipment data, design logistics and supply-chain solutions for new and existing customers, produce costing models and layouts, and present the solution to internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

Analyze data in RFP based proposals for new and existing customers
Design processes, model labor hours, plan staffing and shift requirements
Analyze and model storage methodology of inventory, calculate space requirements
Engineer storage and material handling equipment
Investigate the use of automation, calculate ROI
Build cost models and generate pricing sheets
Present solutions to internal stakeholders and external customers
Document technical solutions used to design the process and assist in writing business proposals, data-visualization charts, etc.
Assist in the development and achievement of strategic business process KPI’s and metrics
Lead or participate in cross functional teams to develop and maintain efficiencies utilizing Kaizen events and Lean Six Sigma methodologies
Maintain a positive relationship with both internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications

Education/Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or related discipline required
3 to 5 years of experience in data-analysis or process-engineering type fields
Must be proficient in MS Excel

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Quantitative data analysis (MS Excel based)
Critical thinking: Analyze data to reach a design goal
Divergent thinking: generate solution design ideas by exploring many possible options
Presentation skills: ability to inform and persuade complex results to non-engineering teams
Skilled in personal organization and task management to meet tight deadlines
Work within a cross-functional team (engineering, operations, IT, Sales)
Must be able to use AutoCAD and Microsoft Office products (Visio, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
Preferred familiarity with MS Access, VBA (MS Excel macros), time measurement techniques (MOST, MTM, MODAPTS, etc.)
Ability to travel: 5% to 15%
