We are looking for an experienced Data Engineers to join one of our core products - Cupid Media.

Your main tasks will be:

  • Collaborate with the existing DBA: Work closely with the current database administrator to gain a deep understanding of the existing database architecture, workflows, and maintenance processes. Share knowledge and ensure seamless cooperation for improved system performance.
  • Participate in new system's database architecture implementation: Actively contribute to the design and implementation of a robust and scalable database architecture for the new system. Ensure that best practices are followed, and the architecture aligns with business requirements and technical standards.
  • Optimize database performance and ensure data integrity: Monitor and analyze database performance, identifying bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement. Implement tuning strategies, indexing, and other optimizations. Maintain the highest standards of data integrity, security, and consistency across all environments.
  • Document database designs, processes, and procedures: Create and maintain detailed and up-to-date documentation of database structures, schema, workflows, and operational processes. Ensure that documentation is easily accessible and understandable for technical and non-technical stakeholders.

    We expect from you:

    • Willingness to work anywhere within the GMT+5 - GMT+10 timezone
    • Strong knowledge of SQL Server.
    • Solid understanding of MS SQL Server architecture, features, and best practices.
    • Experience with Always On for high availability and disaster recovery, including managing replicas, adding databases, troubleshooting, and monitoring.
    • Proficiency in performance tuning and optimization.
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Familiarity with data synchronization techniques.
    • Fluent Russian
    • B2 English level

    Nice to have:

    • Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and its cloud offerings, such as RDS for SQL Server, EC2, and S3.
    • Familiarity with Change Data Capture (CDC) technology.
