Travel Insured International (TII), a Crum & Forster company, is hiring a Backend Developer, API
for Technology Operations.

As a key component of our Specialty Business Unit, within the Accident & Health division, TII provides travel protection plans to help each individual travel confidently. Travel Insured International seeks an experienced Backend Developer, API with a strong background in Microsoft technologies. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in building RESTful and GraphQL APIs, working with ASP.NET Core, .NET Core, and EF Core. Additionally, familiarity with Azure services, DevOps practices, and both SQL and NoSQL databases is essential.
What you will do for C&F:
- Develop and optimize RESTful and GraphQL APIs to support robust digital applications, ensuring they meet the highest standards of performance and scalability.
- Implement back-end services using ASP.NET Core and .NET Core, creating reliable, efficient, and secure solutions.
- Integrate Azure services to enhance our cloud-based application ecosystem.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define back-end requirements, features, and solutions.
- Utilize DevOps practices to streamline deployment processes and ensure continuous integration and delivery.
- Work with both SQL and NoSQL databases to design, maintain, and optimize data storage solutions that align with API requirements.
- Conduct thorough code reviews, mentor peers, and ensure adherence to best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve API performance issues and software defects.
- Continuously improve by staying updated with emerging trends and technologies.
What you will bring to C&F:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience is required
- A Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in a software development role, with a focus on API/Backend development is required
- Proven expertise in ASP.NET Core, .NET Core, and EF Core for developing and maintaining secure, scalable APIs is required
- Hands-On experience working in a fully Agile environment, such as SCRUM, and possessing a comprehensive understanding of Agile principles and methodologies is required
- Proven experience with ASP.NET Core, .NET Core, and EF Core is required
- Strong understanding of RESTful and GraphQL APIs is required
- Familiarity with Azure services and cloud-based application development is preferred
- Proficiency in working with SQL and NoSQL databases is required
- Experience with version control systems such as Git is preferred
- A collaborative mindset and a passion for delivering high-quality, maintainable code
- Creative problem solver with ability to think abstractly; strong analytic skills
- Familiarity with Azure services and cloud-based application development

Salary ranges are available for all positions at this location, taking into account roles with a comparable level of responsibility and impact in the relevant labor market and these salary ranges are regularly reviewed and adjusted in accordance with prevailing market conditions. The annualized base pay for the advertised position, located in the specified area, ranges from a minimum of $64,700.00 to a maximum of $121,600.00. The actual compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to the market pay for the jobs at each level, the responsibilities and skills required for each job, and the employee’s contribution (performance) in that role. To be considered within market range, a salary is at or above the minimum of the range. You may also have the opportunity to participate in discretionary equity (stock) based compensation and/or performance-based variable pay programs.
