Agile Release Train Engineer (RTE) driving and enabling the delivery workstream for eCOA business line.

Join Clario as Sr. R&D Project Manager/Release Train Engineer and take responsibility for defining, documenting and managing complex R&D projects. In this high visibility role, you will be responsible for enforcing standards of practice and leading efforts to adopt industry standard process frameworks and tools. In essence, you will drive organizational structures to optimize value delivery and facilitate continuous improvement efforts with Clario’s quality system processes and culture.

To expand your reach within Clario even further, you will support R&D Portfolio Management in developing, collecting, and evaluating metrics and business cases for the creation and maintenance of the R&D projects within the portfolio.

Clario’s Sr. R&D Project Manager/Release Train Engineer -

  • Identifies, assesses and manages risks to the success of the project, ensuring that plans are realistic and stakeholder communications are effective/timely.

  • Adopts appropriate project management methods and tools, following either predictive (plan-driven) approaches or adaptive (iterative/agile) approaches.

  • Manages and coaches the Agile Release Train (ART) as the Release Train Engineer (RTE) fully complying with the set of responsibilities defined for this role by Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).

  • Ensures Quality reviews meet established schedules and procedures. Manages the change control procedure, ensuring that project deliverables meet standards for cost, timescale, compliance and resource budgets.

  • Provides effective leadership to the project team, and takes appropriate action where team performance deviates from agreed tolerances.

  • Takes responsibility for the provision of portfolio, program and project support, advising on the available standards, procedures, methods, tools and techniques. Will also evaluate project and/or program performance and recommend changes where necessary.

  • Contributes to reviews and audits of project and program management to ensure conformance to standards.

  • Creates the business readiness plan, taking into consideration IT deployment, data migration, capability deployment and any business activities required to integrate new digital processes or jobs into the "business as usual" environment.

  • Determines the readiness levels of business users with regard to upcoming changes; uncovers readiness gaps and creates and implements action plans to close the gaps prior to going live.

  • Identifies and monitors specific measures and mechanisms by which benefits can be measured.

  • Up to 20% Domestic and International travel to facilitate global engineering teams.

What we seek -

  • BA, BS or equivalent. PMP preferred

  • SAFe RTE certification or equivalent preferred

  • 10+ years’ experience managing the building and delivery of scalable, high-performance, reliable, highly available distributed software systems

  • 10+ years’ experience gathering and documenting technical requirements in a regulated software development organization.

  • 10+ years’ experience managing a cross-functional matrix of product management engineering leadership, engineering and information technology resources

  • Basic experience in GxP documentation especially in project initialization and engineering documentation.

  • Proven ability to effectively manage projects using modern project management tools and techniques

  • Produce high quality results and drive forward progress while managing deadlines

  • Experience reporting project status to and taking direction from executive leadership
