Summary of Job Duties:
The Study Abroad Advisor for the Walton College of Business primarily promotes and advises students on the study abroad and international education portfolio for the Walton College of Business, including faculty-led programs, student exchange, Rome Center, third party provider experiences, and internship opportunities. This position provides comprehensive advising related to international education for undergraduate and graduate students, including facilitating program selection and application processes, discussing scholarship and financial aid opportunities, and ensuring that abroad experiences meet students’ goals. In addition, this position conducts pre-departure orientations to prepare students for their international experience and collects feedback from students to assess program effectiveness upon return. This position also promotes international opportunities across the College through participation in workshops, informational sessions, and campus events to increase the visibility of international opportunities. Finally, this position coordinates, manages, and supports faculty led programs to ensure program compliance with University policy and best practices for education abroad. This position contributes to other Colleges as needed.
