Koniag Advisory and Business Solutions, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Senior Administrative Assistant III to support KABS and our government customer. This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a Public Trust. This is a Remote opportunity.

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:

Support program management functions, such as:

  • Be an active member of team and project meetings, at any time bringing any issues that may have an impact on project outcomes to the attention of associated NPS Financial Assistance Managers and assist with and perform any administrative tasks requested to support the NPS Financial Assistance Division.
  • Review and coordinate as required with stakeholders, such as the NPS Bureau Financial Assistance Chief (BFAC), Deputy Bureau Financial Assistance Chief (DBFAC), Bureau Financial Assistance Business Manager, Bureau Financial Assistance Career Coordinator, Financial Assistance Section Chiefs, and other financial assistance personnel and team members, obtaining, sharing and assisting with any necessary data and information.
  • Research and analyze new and emerging trends and data and recommend new programs and associated technical solutions or enhancements to existing programs and associated technical solutions.
  • Conduct research, analyze data and prepare reports and white papers using a variety of data gathering methods (online searches, interviews, surveys, questionnaires, polls, historical research, etc). and be able to analyze, compile and present the acquired data in coordination with input from subject matter experts (SMEs).

Provide Documentation functions such as:

  • Develop briefings and meeting documentation, projections, memoranda, letters, reports, instructional guides, job aids, training material, charts, diagrams, and graphics and other management requested documentation.
  • Assist during meetings with note taking, document editing and presenting, and general meeting and training coordination efforts.
  • Compile, review and analyze information and data to draft various reports, guidance documents, technical tools, and templates and to respond to various data calls and analysis requests in coordination with input from subject matter experts (SMEs).

Prepare briefings and reports on program activities such as:

  • Monitor timelines, milestone charts, assignments and deadlines.
  • Assist with the development of topics and agendas and execution of meetings, conference calls and/or training sessions as needed.
  • Be able to provide timely updates as requested.

Ensure compliance with program policies, standards and procedures, such as:

  • Remain productive in a virtual/telework environment and stay regularly connected using current technologies. 5.5.5.2 Use clear and professional communication and provide a high quality of customer service when drafting documents and interacting with Government personnel and the public.
  • Be willing to share ideas and suggestions related to strategic initiatives and projects.
  • Be or become proficient in Microsoft Office365 Suite (to include Teams, Forms, OneNote, Planner, PowerApps, Power Automate, etc.) the Microsoft Office suite, such as Word, Excel, Power Point; OneDrive, Microsoft SharePoint, Gmail-based email and Outlook email systems, etc., and attend any training deemed necessary by Federal personnel.
  • Assist in researching, developing, maintaining, enhancing, modifying and adding content regarding NPS Financial Assistance needs, including but not limited to, the Financial Assistance Submissions Tracker (FAST) duties like ensuring the FAST is up to date with current needs and in working order.
  • Assist in training others on the use, maintenance, updates, and enhancements of the Financial Assistance Submissions Tracker (FAST) and other financial assistance technical needs, tools, and systems.

Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 4+ years of experience
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust
  • Provides business advice and guidance to others on financial assistance work and prepares correspondence.
  • Represents the interest of the organization in a professional manner in meetings and various contacts outside the agency on a variety of issues that often are not well defined.
  • Prepares letters, memoranda, documents, or reports that support financial assistance actions and recommendations.
  • Researches and recommends appropriate action or interpretation of issues.
  • Updates status reports and brief financial assistance status when required to the appropriate level within and outside the agency on a routine basis.

Working Environment & Conditions

This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress.

The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
