About the Role

If so, you could be perfect for our new role! We are looking for a Customer Engineer who is eager to deep dive into Apache Kafka and apply their expertise to support our customers to solve their most challenging problems. 

Our control plane is packed with intriguing features, as well as advanced technology that reimagines Apache Kafka systems. Through cultivating a deep understanding of our products, you’ll strategize on how to best support our customers to provide them the most value.

What will you be doing?
  • Onboarding new enterprise customers with Conduktor’s range of products
  • Working closely with customers to train and enable them to use Conduktor products
  • Providing premier support to enterprise customers when they have technical issues with Conduktor products and ensuring comprehensive technical troubleshooting with suitable workarounds and best practices
  • Coordinating efforts and offering root-cause analysis on complicated technical issues (bugs, performance issues, security)
  • Improving product documentation and authoring knowledge-base articles
  • Advocating on the customer's behalf and providing feedback to the Product/Engineering teams to improve our solutions and product roadmap
  • Continuously learning our products, Apache Kafka and the data streaming ecosystem in order to update our teams and help our customers

  • What experience are we looking for?
  • Deeply interested in technology whether through your college degree or hobbies.
  • Interest in learning and mastering how Conduktor tooling can help in the data streaming world
  • Have consulting or customer-facing experience.
  • Hands-on experience with distributed technologies Demonstrable experience with Docker / Kubernetes
  • Experience troubleshooting applications running on Linux (resource contention, network bottlenecks, etc.) Ability to read and understand code.
  • Excellent communication skills - clear, concise and effective communication with customers and colleagues
  • Demonstrate a good level of self-motivation, autonomy, curiosity and positive attitude
  • Knowledge of streaming or messaging systems like Apache Kafka, Pulsar, Rabbit MQ, JMS.
  • Previous experience as a software engineer with a background in software development, coupled with a passion for customer support.
