Job description

Department Overview:

OHSU is Oregon's only public academic health center. We are a system of hospitals and clinics across Oregon and southwest Washington. Function/Duties of Position:
  • HRIS Transactional Processing: Performs a variety of day-to-day administrative Human Resource Information System (HRIS) functions, ensuring data integrity and the processing of HR data. Works independently under general direction. Handles problems and non-routine situations by conferring with the manager or specialist. Confirms accuracy and integrity of all data entered, maintains data in HRIS systems and databases and assures information is available on a timely basis and complies with established approval requirements by mission (where applicable). Performs data updates, imports, clean-ups. Makes updates based on daily/weekly/monthly auditing and reporting and responds to basic requests Consolidates employee data and documents between multiple systems to maintain the integrity of the official employee personnel record.
  • Customer Service: Serves as a resource for assigned customers (employees, managers, and administrative staff). Responds verbally or in writing to inquiries, complaints, or problems, providing basic information about HR records. Assists and supports others on difficult assignments and/or problems as directed. 
  • New Hire Paperwork Compliance: Will work on updating Qualification Manager with BLS certification. Will also work on loading New Hire information into OnBase. 
  • Technical Support: Provides basic first-line technical support for HRIS self-service applications for employees, managers, and administrative staff, including training, troubleshooting, documentation, and escalation for system defects and enhancements.
  • Other Duties as Assigned: projects will be assigned to HR Records Coordinators in specific areas to enhance their knowledge of HR programs. These may include conducting an audit of employee data, or working on communication plans.
Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma and one year of general office or secretarial experience or equivalent combination of training and experience.

  • MS Office Suite skills.

  • Customer service skills – sensitivity to employees with diverse needs and circumstances.

  • Ability to perform the job duties with or without accommodation.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of work experience and education.
  • Knowledge of Oracle.

  • Knowledge of OnBase.
