Position Description: The Lower Limb Program Director will be responsible for the development and implementation of Boston O&P’s lower limb program through service team leadership. The director will ensure that the program enables orthotists to deliver high quality pediatric lower limb orthotic care via standardized clinical practices, fabrication methods, clinician education, patient outcomes, and referral relations.
This is a Remote position
Core Responsibilities:
- Manage Lower Limb Service Team communications and task lists.
- Maintain written clinical standard processes and promote utilization.
- Regularly evaluate quality and accuracy of Athena documentation templates and coding sets, and make improvements as needed.
- Maintain written standard processes for internal fabrication and offer clear guidance for outsourced fabrication.
- Provide education opportunities and clinical support through online and in person experiences.
- Ensure clinically relevant and industry accepted outcome data is being collected and that our clinical practices support achieving excellent patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with other medical professionals to produce published research.
- Work with the marketing team to ensure messaging on printed materials, website, and social media is aligned with our program standards, promotes healthy referral relationships, fosters a supportive patient/parent community, and provides an informative platform for understanding Boston O&P’s Lower Limb program.
- Collaborate with Director of Education and clinic leaders to provide orthotic residents with valuable learning experiences.
- Help clinics achieve sales growth through full utilization of program elements.
Education/Experience:
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Project management or leadership experience
- Ability to dedicate 75% of time to Director role
- 5+ years’ experience as a Certified Prosthetist, preferably in pediatrics
