Job description

The Therapist provides direct clinical services in an outpatient setting working with individuals, families, and groups to improve the quality of life for people with co-occurring severe mental and substance use disorders by combining substance abuse services with mental health services

How you will change lives…

  • Provide treatment for dual diagnosis as an integrated approach, where both the mental health issue and the substance use issue are treated simultaneously, and by the same treatment provider.
  • Evaluate and treat the interplay between client substance use and his or her mood problems.
  • Identify emergency crisis and make immediate clinical assessments.
  • Conduct ongoing assessments of persons-served and evaluate effectiveness of treatment plan goals and interventions.
  • Facilitate access to community resources and social support networks for persons-served.

  • Experience and/or specialized training in substance abuse required.
