Job Overview Summary

The Project Manager of Advarra Consulting has the responsibility, as assigned, to serve as a client liaison as assigned and provide consultancy services as an individual or as part of a larger Consulting Team for Advarra Consulting Client Projects.

The Project Manager professional applies working knowledge and expertise in project management and draws on familiarity with clinical research, quality assurance, regulatory affairs, and related fields to effectively manage Client services and project deliverables.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Setting and managing client expectations, developing a detailed project plan, defining the scope of the project, understanding the project risks and assigning team members to specific tasks.
  • Leads a team to ensure client expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Provides guidance, training or coaching to experts to ensure the success of Advarra Consulting projects.
  • Ensures tasks are completed within specified timelines. When delays are anticipated, the Project Manager effectively communicates with the client and all members of the project team to resolve issues and re-establish timelines.
  • Forecasts project timelines for budgetary purposes.
  • Ensures projects stay within the allocated budget and when changes are necessary, communicates with the appropriate individuals (e.g., commercial/sales) to ensure contractual arrangements are made.
  • Ensures open lines of communication with the client in both written and oral forms.
  • Escalates issues with clients or project deliverables in a timely manner.
  • Ensures project management software, or other technology utilized by Advarra Consulting is up to date and accurate.
  • Ensures projects are evaluated and when necessary, collaborates with Subject Matter Experts or Advarra Consulting Leadership to revise the scope, schedule or budget to ensure that project requirements can be met.
  • Collaborates with team members to ensure talent is identified and assigned appropriately, communicates with experts, and ensures timely receipt of deliverables
  • Demonstrates strong planning skills and have a working knowledge of MS Project or a similar planning tool. The ability to develop a plan from ambiguity is essential for the role.
  • Builds relationships with and serves as a point of contact with clients.
  • Supports the evaluation of processes and ongoing procedural compliance within the project management team and influence process improvement initiatives.
  • Represents Advarra Consulting on Business Development /Sales calls, as needed
  • Advises or develops departmental Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions and other tools to support Client consulting services
  • Works with the Leadership team to resolve staffing issues for complex engagements.
  • Sends specification notices to consultants for GxP audits, reviews and routes deliverables for quality assurance, and tracks Client and/or project related information
  • Other duties as assigned

Location

This role is open to candidates working remotely in the United States.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, from an accredited college or university required.
  • Preferred: PMP certification
  • 2+ years of previous Project Management experience is required

  • Demonstrated skill in adaptability, accountability, and creativity
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong Project management and team building skills
  • Ability to analyze data to solve complex problems
  • Ability to work independently; planning, organizing, scheduling and completing work within deadlines
  • Ability to manage conflicting demands and priorities, problem solve and think strategically to ensure client deliverables

Physical and Mental Requirements

  • Sit or stand for extended periods of time at stationary workstation
  • Regularly carry, raise, and lower objects of up to 10 Lbs.

  • Verbal communication; listening and understanding, responding, and speaking

Pay Transparency Statement

The base salary range for this role is $72,400 - $123,100. Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience and may vary from the amounts listed above. This position may also be eligible for a variable bonus in addition to base salary as well as health coverage, paid holidays, and other benefits.
