Foot Locker, Inc., the world's leading retailer of athletically inspired shoes and apparel, is seeking a Compensation Manager. The Compensation Manager leads the development, implementation and evaluation of compensation programs for Foot Locker’s team members globally. The Compensation Manager is responsible for the planning and management of global non-store compensation processes such as annual compensation planning and bonus. In addition, the Compensation Manager leads efforts to maintain our global salary structures and compensation programs competitive and attractive.

The Global Total Rewards function is responsible for the design, implementation and execution of Foot Locker’s global compensation and benefits. The mission is to design and deliver market-competitive total rewards programs that support Foot Locker’s Talent Strategy.

We are currently is seeking a Manager, Compensation, reporting to the Sr. Director, Global Compensation. The Manager, Compensation, in will assist the Sr. Director and VP, Global Total Rewards in the oversight the design, development, execution and administration of the Company’s executive and equity compensation programs across the globe.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare materials for the Human Capital and Compensation Committee and Board of Directors meetings. This includes schedules, pay summaries, peer practice, modeling, etc.
  • Evaluates competitive practices, recommends action or programs based on findings.
  • Perform benchmark analyses to ensure that salary and incentive packages are competitive. Inclusive of conducting proxy analysis from public filings as well as participating in compensation surveys.
  • Participate in third party compensation survey’s and evaluate the results.
  • Perform job evaluations within current job architecture.
  • Contribute to the design and delivery of the executive incentive plans.
  • Prepare long term incentive report and payout calculation.
  • Manage equity administration for long-term incentive plan grants and vesting’s.
  • Manage administration of the Employee Stock Purchase plan.
  • Collaborate with Accounting, Legal and Finance departments to administer existing executive compensation programs, including annual statements, calculation of long-term and short-term incentive programs, delivery of proxy data, stock plan administration, etc.
  • Draft communications to ensure executives understand the value and workings of their executive compensation offerings.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years progressive experience with compensation programs (i.e. annual bonus programs, job evaluations and salary surveys).
  • Prior experience in Executive compensation, finance, accounting and/or stock plan administration within a global company.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong project management skills; ability to manage multiple projects at the same time, with an eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Strong customer service orientation skills.
  • Effective cross functional partnerships with HRBPs, Finance and Legal.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Ability to operate in and maintain complete confidentiality, particularly with sensitive, internal information.

Benefits

The annual base salary range is $90,000 - $120,000 / yr. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive short term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
