Job Description
To enhance our cybersecurity coverage across the EMEA region, we are looking for a Cybersecurity Analyst to join our CSOC team. This is a remote position, ideal for candidates with an analytical mind and strong experience across various cybersecurity domains.
Responsibilities
As a Cybersecurity Analyst at Ritchie Bros., you will play a critical role in our Cybersecurity Operations Center (CSOC), helping to monitor, manage, and optimize technical security controls to detect, protect, and respond to cyber threats. Your responsibilities will include cybersecurity investigations and incident handling, including security threat analysis for malware, phishing, and identity or web-based attacks.
You’ll collaborate with other security team members and internal departments to contain, remediate, and escalate security incidents. Additionally, you will recommend and support the implementation of security improvements and foster a culture of cybersecurity awareness across RB Global.
Managing security controls to detect, analyze, and remediate security events and incidents (including EDRs, NDRs, Advanced Email Protection, WAF, and more).
Documenting security incidents, conducting root cause analysis, and applying responses to reduce impact and eliminate threats.
Serving as a Subject Matter Expert on various information security technologies, advancing their technical aspects and adoption within RB Global.
Collaborating with vendors and internal teams to troubleshoot and resolve security issues.
Identifying risky practices and behaviors through regular monitoring activities.
Continuous learning and self-driven growth in the cybersecurity field.
Qualifications
You’re detail-oriented, an outstanding problem solver, and excel at working collaboratively within cross-functional teams to deliver results. You also bring:
A degree in computer science, IT, systems engineering, or a related field
Security+ certification (or equivalent)
3-5 years of experience as a Cybersecurity Analyst, managing technical security solutions like EDR, Advanced Email Protection, NDR, and WAF
A hands-on approach, with meticulous attention to detail and a passion for continuous improvement
