Summary Of The Role
As Business Development Sales Representative, you will be responsible for bringing in leads and sales opportunities and helping the Wiley Corporate Sales Solutions Team hit annual targets. This role will heavily involve lead generation and uncovering opportunities to sell the Wiley content offerings and solutions to corporate and government accounts. Wiley is a world class publisher with subject matter experts as authors and the ability to provide many and varied solutions to potential clients. This role is designed to help uncover more of those clients to connect our content and solutions to.
How you will make an impact:
- Developing qualified leads and opportunities by searching for contacts and organizations who have a pain point that Wiley content and solutions can solve. This could include soft skills content like leader development or team building to more specific content solutions in IT or STEM. The breath of entire the Wiley content offering is available.
- Helping to build and nurture relationships with new customers to drive impact in the market.
What we look for:
- Have a pro-active, energetic approach to seeking out new sales while growing our portfolio of existing business.
- Have experience of using data to identify prospects and opportunities through programs such as ZoomInfo, LinkedIn & Salesforce. Understanding of MS office systems is essential.
- Are comfortable presenting online and in person, the ideal candidate will have an awareness of value-based selling and be an advocate of partnering with customers to nurture and grow together.
- Ability to communicate to face to face in meetings with potential clients.
