Business Development Specialist – Site Engagement

POSITION FUNCTION

The Business Development Specialist – Site Engagement has the primary responsibilities of ensuring desired studies are processed after feasibility completion through to award. Site Engagement is also responsible for overseeing the Feasibility process and ensuring interdepartmental communication. Site Engagement members also have general sales and administrative duties that assist with increasing and developing a robust trial pipeline for all sites.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Utilize CRM reports for timely follow up on completed feasibilities and PSVs for outcomes.
  • Use of Devana as CRM tool to manage all contacts from industry and study opportunities presented to Centricity.
  • Cross-function with the Business Development Specialist – Site Intelligence to determine site compatibility, resources needed, and enrollment expectations for trial success.
  • Cross-function with the Site Relations Team to ensure a robust and diverse pipeline by identifying clinical trial opportunities as well as screen potential trial opportunities through industry research, market analysis strategies, operational requirements, potential financial impact, medical acceptance, and resolving internal priorities.
  • Lead feasibility discussions and pipeline meetings to effectively convey to all internal groups regarding deadlines, outstanding needs, requirements, and expectations.
  • Maintain pristine CRM databases and reports.
  • Protect organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
  • Remain current with changes and use of software to improve productivity.
  • Attentive to detail, accuracy, timeliness, and excellence.
  • Support other business development needs and projects as they arise.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum: Clinical research experience preferred
  • Preferred: HS/GED

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Modern medical office environment or home office environment
  • Required to follow OSHA and CCOHS guidelines, in addition to other local healthcare regulations
  • Required to perform duties in relation to HIPAA, PIDEDA, and other local privacy regulations
  • Up to 20% travel required and may require overnight/weekend hours
