Events and Membership Coordinator

The Position:
We are looking for eager, driven candidates with experience in events management, program management, client communications, and facilitation to develop impactful solutions for the General Services Administration. In this role, the Events and Membership Coordinator will support logistics and program management for an initiative aiming to improve digital experience across the federal government. Some responsibilities include:  

  • Run planning activities and logistics for all program events. Responsibilities include:
    • Manage the day to day event planning schedule
    • Drafting and QCing of event briefs and scripts
    • Day to day coordination with speakers and contributors
    • Drafting of slides and supporting materials
    • Configure and troubleshoot all virtual platforms (Zoom, Google Meet, Mural, etc
    • ​​​​​​​Develop and manage all pre and post event surveys (Qualtrics, Google Forms)
    • Collaborate with content specialists to ensure accessibility and inclusion compliance standards are met (open captioning, event scripts, etc)
    • Support the writing of event promo related web and social media content
    • Provide initial analysis of all post event survey feedback to the Community Outreach and Engagement Lead
  • ​​​​​​​Manage and monitor all membership requests and communications for all 13,000 community members
    • ​​​​​​​Manage incoming membership requests and inquiries
    • Monitor, triage, assign and / or solve all customer inquiries via Zendesk
    • Monitor all eight LISTSERV communities to identify conversation trends and escalate any communication the violates community guidelines
    • Provide support to the analysis of alternative community communication platforms (LISTSERV)

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant area
  • 1+ years of relevant experience
  • (Preferred) Experience working a consulting/professional services, client facing role, preferably in the public sector supporting federal clients
  • Strong creative problem-solving, analytical, and quantitative skills
  • Ability to work effectively on projects with demanding deadlines in a team environment 
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with an ability to share and synthesize knowledge 
  • Ability and desire to take initiative and ownership over project work and professional development and growth 
The Location:
Censeo Consulting Group is based in Washington D.C., a fantastic city for working professionals. We work in a hybrid setting with flexibility to work from home and work in our office conveniently located in the heart of downtown, just a few blocks away from the White House. And with many of our clients also based in D.C., we have the luxury of leaving for a meeting and being back in the office in time for post-work happy hours, team dinners, and game nights.

The Fine Print:
  • The salary range for this role is $55,000 - $75,000
  • Expected travel 0-10%; may increase based on business needs 
  • This is an exempt, full-time position
  • Essential Physical Functions
    • Sitting: Particularly for sustained periods of time
    • Light Carrying: Physically transporting items weighing less than 15 pounds from one location to another
