IEG is currently seeking an Analyst, Sponsorship Consulting to join its growing team, responsible for supporting client projects and organization-wide initiatives.

IEG’s client engagements are comprised of sponsorship valuation, measurement and consulting with clients in the sports and entertainment verticals, positioning solutions to both brands (buyers) and properties (sellers).
IEG is looking for a Senior Manager, Business Development & to expand IEG’s solid position as the Sponsorship Authority. We are focused on smart prospecting, expert discovery and exploration of untapped business opportunities. The ideal candidate will dive right in, use initiative and continue our great progress by helping to build on a portfolio of well-regarded clients.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties and the responsibilities reflect the general details necessary to describe the principal functions of the job and shall not be constructed as a detailed description of all related work assignments that may be inherent to the job.
- Reporting to the Director, Marketing & Growth, this role is sales-focused, responsible for ensuring our evolved products and competitive advantages are strategically planned and positioned to prospects to assist them in their commercial goals.
- Responsible for individual revenue goals, management of pipeline, and development of scopes of work.
- Generate new leads in specified prospect verticals, identify and contact decision-makers, screen potential business opportunities and facilitate pitch logistics along with leadership.
- Develop proposals and presentations for new business discussions to create and nurture business opportunities and partnerships.
- Maintain an individual YTD Activity Report, with current activity progress, next steps, tracking of ultimate outcome, competition, lead source, etc.
- Assist the Director, Marketing & Growth with reporting and procedural client set-up through our internal systems.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

- 5+ years’ business development experience in a sponsorship or research-led environment. This can include experience in selling or buying sponsorship engagements (sports or non-sports).
- Proven track record of achieving individual revenue goals with an articulated sales plan that is managed, achieved and reported to leadership.
- Experience with key sponsorship marketing metrics, including linear television media, social, digital and on-site. Fundamental market research experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience in sponsorship sales is highly preferred.
- Ability to manage variant/multiple stages of the sales process, client scopes of work and associated tasks.
- Excellent presentation skills and mastery of MS Office environment, particularly MS PowerPoint and Excel.
- Candidates must be self-motivated and detail-oriented, be a strong writer who is able to draft and synthesize content into compelling messages and must have outstanding organizational skills.
- Successful track record in B2B sales and negotiation.
