Job Summary

As an AVP, Business Development, you'll play a key role in SCA’s growth and long-term success by helping us to achieve our goals and build upon our legacy of achievement by proactively managing assigned accounts to achieve regional and company sales goals. In this role, you will support the VP team with campaigns and maintain relationships with assigned clients while supporting key distribution relationships.

Job Description

Duties/Responsibilities

 Independently compare and evaluate insurance products based on knowledge of the channel, the product, the client, and the carrier to create appropriate proposals and present different alternatives, including:     
o Oversee client case design
o Prepare illustrations and presentations using carrier and product analysis to support and facilitate client sales
 Analyze existing contracts, analyzing the coverage, and providing a summary
o Consult with VP team and financial advisors to determine if current policy meets client needs
 Manage new advisor calls, reviews, and document a summary for VP team 
 Establish credible relationships with VP team, case design team, and financial advisers, to be able to provide immediate support on complex matters with minimal direction
 Understand the advantages and disadvantages of different life insurance strategies
 Determine when case needs escalation to executive team
 Act as the liaison between key clients and internal teams, assist the VP team and/or the financial advisor in implementing solutions and pro-actively resolve any issues and inquiries
 Serve as primary point of contact in the proper completion of applications and forms and provide software support
 In partnership with VP team, research, summarize, and provide competitive information and competitive positioning for specified products
 Consult on case design and concepts for VP team
 Understands interdependences of deadlines on multiple projects and acts to preserve integrity of others’ deadlines
 Perform other duties as assigned
